In a conventional hose with 25mm inner diameter and smooth inside wall approximately 0.2-0.5bar pressure loss per 25-30m hose length should be considered. 3 Which output is available to me at the highest water discharge point above ground level? The right pump should deliver water at the desired flow rate with a pressure of about 2.5 - 3.5bar (conventional water pressure in the mains water pipe) from the tap.

Calculate the installation depth of the pump plus the level of the deepest point of withdrawal and divide the value by 10 (precisely 9.81). Deduct this number from the maximum pressure of the pump.

A rule of thumb: the optimum performance for pump operation is located approximately in the middle of the pump curve. At this point, the pump motor operates most effectively and consumes the least energy based on the flow rate of water.
